Gogglebox Ireland to adapt production around Level Three Covid restrictions

Producers of Virgin Media One show Gogglebox Ireland have confirmed they are making production changes in keeping with Dublin’s new Covid-19 restrictions which will see show regulars the Cabra Girls become a threesome while thr capital stays at Level Three.
The Cabra Girls are sisters Ashley and Gráinne, who live together, along with their friends Jamie and Lindsay. They have been part of Gogglebox Ireland from series one and as the show enters its sixth series, they have remained firm favourites with the show’s audience.
Commenting on the changes, executive producer of Gogglebox Ireland, Darren Smith said: “We’re happy to adhere to Government and HSE guidelines as Dublin enters Level Three status. The safety of our cast is always paramount so whilst we will undoubtedly miss seeing the Cabra Girls in their classic four piece line-up we’re confident that via their new three piece version they’ll still manage to deliver their unique, funny and often touching take on the week’s telly, and obviously we look forward to welcoming them all back together once Government advice allows”.
Commenting on the temporary line-up change Jamie said: “It’ll be weird doing it with just three of us but we’re all in this together, so what can you do? I don’t think it’ll stop us from saying what we think and hopefully, it won’t be for too long!”All new Gogglebox Ireland continues this Wednesday night, September 23rd, at 9pm on Virgin Media One
